Recognized as one of the founders of the separately managed account industry, Len Reinhart brings over three decades of experience and innovation to Wealthcare’s Board of Directors. He is the founder of the Lockwood family of companies which, upon joining forces with Pershing in 2003, became one of the largest providers of turnkey and private-labeled managed account solutions for the introducing broker-dealer and registered investment advisor markets.
Prior to founding Lockwood and serving as Managing Director and member of the Executive Committee of Pershing LLC, Len was President of the Consulting Group of Smith Barney. During his time at Smith Barney and its predecessor, E.F. Hutton, Len was directly responsible for developing programs that introduced institutional-level professional investment management services to the individual investor marketplace.
Len is very passionate about bringing new young advisors into the business. He sits on the Board of the Business School at the University of Rhode Island and tries to expose as many students as possible to the opportunities in the advisory business.
When he is not busy helping older folks to retire and younger ones to start their careers, Len enjoys being outdoors. Hiking, riding ATVs, skeet shooting, sailing, golfing and traveling are his favorite activities. You won’t find Len on a cruise boat though – he prefers adventure trips, like the ones he took to Iceland and Egypt.
